Faculty 6 is honored to welcome Dr. Patricia Martin Pimentel, the Head of Post Launch Services at TESAT, for an upcoming guest lecture titled “Post Launch Services: Control & Monitoring of In-Orbit Laser Communication Terminals ” as part of THE aerospace TALKS.
Dr. Patricia Martin Pimentel is a physicist and industry expert in optical space communications, currently leading Post Launch Services at TESAT Spacecom in Germany. She is responsible for the development and delivery of in-orbit services for laser communication terminals across the company’s portfolio.
With more than 15 years of experience in the field, she has worked across system engineering, operations, and service leadership, contributing to missions such as TDP1 (Alphasat), EDRS and Sentinels (Copernicus Program). Her work focuses on monitoring, control, and performance optimization of optical terminals in orbit, as well as supporting customers throughout mission lifecycles.
She is currently driving the expansion of post launch services and the integration of artificial intelligence into operational tools. Dr. Patricia Martin Pimentel holds a PhD in physics and has completed executive education in general management and AI.
