We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Andreas Knopp from the University of the Bundeswehr München as a guest speaker at the University of Stuttgart. He holds the Chair of Information Processing at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and is the spokesperson of the SPACE Research Center. In his lecture, he will provide insights into current scientific challenges and research perspectives in the field of satellite and space communications. The talk is open to students, doctoral candidates, and all interested participants and offers an opportunity for academic exchange.
In his lecture, “From Centralized to Distributed: The Next Leap in Satellite Networks,” Prof. Knopp will address topics such as DSS for D2C communication and the creation of virtual antenna arrays using satellite swarms. His research focuses, among others, on secure satellite communications, satellite networks, and interference mitigation, particularly for critical civilian and military applications.
