Starting April, 21, 2026, Airbus employees will give the new course "Airworthiness and Certification". The course is for master students of University of Stuttgart and TU-Delft. However, if you are interested, feel free to join. Airbus developed the course material themselves. It will give a very broad and useful introduction of what it means to certify and legally operate an aircraft, including:
- Fundamentals of airworthiness and certification
- Safety principles and risk management
- Global aviation regulations and authorities
- Certification processes for aircraft and operations
- Organizational approvals (e.g., AOC, DOA)
- Maintenance of airworthiness throughout the entire lifecycle of an aircraft
